Alongside many sports activities and entertainment at the European Universities Games Zagreb-Rijeka 2016, a theatrical treat was held for sports, music, and acting fans on Sunday 17 July at Rijeka Campus.

The stage hosted a slightly unusual play “Sport, how proudly it sounds”. The actors were the members of the taekwondo club alongside renowned artists from Rijeka.

In the play of unique genre, two different arts came together – sports and acting. The success of the play was confirmed by the standing ovation. The play “Sport, how proudly it sounds” introduced the possibility of progress through sports, music and acting. It also emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and personal growth.

‘Sport wins people over all around the world every day, and that is a necessary part that is missing in the cultural world. We connected the love fans feel towards a certain sport, club, or player with art and showed that the European Universities Games promote the seemingly unusual, but necessary part of our lives,’ said the Mensur Puhovac, the play director.
