PLITVICE LAKES – TOUR

Plitvice Lakes National Park – the most beautiful and most visited National Park in Croatia. Plitvice Lakes are a symbol of Croatia as a tourist destination and are called „the heavenly garden“. The Park was put on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List in 1979 in recognition of its “outstanding natural beauty, and the undisturbed production of travertine (tufa) through chemical and biological action”. 1.18 million people visited the park in 2014, setting a new attendance record.

ITINERARY:

Departure from Zagreb in the early morning hours
Driving through Karlovac and Kordun to Slunj and Rastoke
Sightseeing and free time in Rastoke
Driving to Plitvice Lakes National Park
Visiting Plitvice Lakes – walking paths and bridges along the lakes, waterfalls, travertine barriers
Free time for lunch or walking
Return to Zagreb in the evening hours

RAFTING & KAYAKING – The Korana River

You will feel all the adrenaline and the excitement of these sports by sailing on the Korana River in rafts, through its untamable rapids and tufted barriers. You will be sailing through the inaccessible part of the Korana River, which makes this trip even more extreme, unforgettable and adventurous. There are no settlements in the river’s beautiful canyon, only a few old and abandoned mills. This part of the river features over 30 waterfalls which will all be crossed by boat.

Driving along the coast to Pula (approximately 1:45)
Tour of the sights, the amphitheater (from the outside), the Twin Gate, Hercules’ Gate, the Arch of the Sergii
Free time for walking and exploring
Departure from Pula, driving to Rovinj (approximately 45 minutes)
Tour of Rovinj and free time for lunch
Departure from Rovinj, driving to Poreč (approximately 45 minutes)

ZAGORJE TOUR - experience the country life

Explore one of the largest sites of prehistoric people in Europe – the Krapina Neanderthal Museum. After visiting the museum we will visit a typical Zagorje farm. You will not forget the magnificent panorama of Croatian Zagorje. After a short sightseeing and some free time, you will be served delicious home-cooked food. After lunch and relaxation, your journey continues to Castle Trakošćan and Trakošćan Lake.

Arrival in Krapina – tour through the museum and walk Horus park-hill
Drive to a nearby farm – lunch and free time for relaxation
Drive to Trakošćan
