Rijeka: The final phase of preparation and realization of the Games’ sports programme presented

The Sports Committee of European Universities Games Zagreb-Rijeka 2016 presented the activities pertaining to the final phases of Games preparation and realization on Monday, 13 June, at the University Campus in Rijeka.

The presentation was held for Technical Delegates, sports venue managers, and other professional staff connected to the sports competition which will be held in Rijeka. Moreover, its purpose was to ensure that the sports part of the competition is in accordance with the intended goals.

Luka Leško, sports manager of the Games, welcomed the attendees as a representative of the ESI 2016 Sports Committee, and, together with Nikola Vincetić, Committee Coordinator, presented the organizational structure and specific information on the sports programme of the Games in Rijeka.

Rijeka will host the competitions in judo, 3×3 basketball, paralympic swimming, handball, taekwondo and water polo, as well as the closing ceremony on 25 July on Korzo.
