General Technical Meeting for para table tennis held

A General Technical Meeting for para table tennis was held today. EUSA Sports Manager Patrik Peroša said he was pleased with the fact that Croatia and EUSA were organizing a para tennis competition for the first time, considering it a part of EUSA future.

Director of Games Operations of the EUG 2016 Besim Aliti gave a welcome speech on behalf of the European Universities Games, emphasizing that the pavillions no. 4, 5, and 11 of the Stjepan Radić dormitory had been adapted for people with special needs.

Head of the Sport Commitee of the European Universities Games Danira Bilić and Competition Commission Chair and EUSA Executive Board Member Aitor Canibe – Sanchez greeted the players as well.

OC Technical Delegate Dragan Rakitić presented the categories of the tournament.

EUSA Assistant Technical Delegate Ekatarina Ovstannikova and EUSA Technical Delegate Andrzej Hrehorowicz attended the meeting as well.

The para table tennis competition will be held from July 22 to July 23. The participants will compete in four categories: men’s wheelchair, men’s standing classes 6-8, men’s standing class 10, and women’s wheelchair.

The competition will start on Friday, July 22.
