University of Rijeka will give 3 ECTS points for volunteering on EUG2016

Students of the University of Rijeka will have the opportunity to volunteer at the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 during the summer semester of the academic year 2015/2016. A great motivation for all students will be the 3 ECTS credit under the course “Students and community 1”. The EUG 2016 has started this initiative with the representatives of the Faculty of Philosophy, while the Senate of the University of Rijeka gave the final positive decision.

The classes will be held online, and lecturers are Bojana Culum and Vjeran Pavlakovic at Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka. Volunteering at the EUG 2016 will be a practical part of the course, while the topics of volunteerism and involvement of the academic community in the process of volunteering will be a theoretical part.

All students of the University of Rijeka can already apply via “Studomat”. The number of applications is not limited.
