News - Tennis draw held: The battle for the best European racket begins

After the football draw, today the athletes learned the schedule of the tennis competition as well. The sports manager of EUSA, Patrik Peroša, opened the draw with a few introductory words about the European University Sports Association – EUSA.

He noted that tennis was one of the first sports which started within the organization in 2004. The competition for the best university tennis players will be held from July 12 to 18. There are 16 teams in the men’s part of the competition and 14 teams in the women’s competition. The men’s teams will be divided into groups A, B, C and D which will be played in the morning while the women’s part of the competition will consists of groups E, F, G and H and the matches will be played in the afternoon.

Head of the Zagreb GOC of the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 Jelena Matešić EUSA technical delegate Daniel Studer and the technical delegate of the Operational Centre, Vladimir Jovanovski, addressed the participants as well as everyone present.
