News - Passing by: Students thrilled with the Campus and good times

A Frenchman who speaks Croatian, Viktor Šelendić from the University of Lyon, came to Rijeka with his team to participate in the water polo competition. He has a match in the evening and he believes his team will win. “This is my first time in Rijeka and I like the city very much. The thing I like the most is that it’s at the sea. I also like the Village Lounge. I went out only once so far, but today I plan to go with my team to the Boat party in Opatija,” told us the friendly Victor.

Selma, Emilie and Ninnie, students at the University of Oslo, came to Rijeka on Monday to represent their university in women’s handball. ‘Rijeka is great and we are very impressed by the Campus,’ said the girls. ‘Today they are going to the Silent party at Club Beertija and are expecting a good time,’ they continued. When it comes to the competition itself, they are modest – they hope to achieve at least one victory.

Aljaž from the University of Ljubljana has been in Rijeka for a few days so far, so he can play handball with his team. Although they have lost both matches, they hope to win the match against the University of Rijeka. He and his team are not troubled too much with the defeats, as long as there is a good party at the Lounge bar and while there are numerous parties organized. Today they will also be attending the Boat party in Opatija and are hoping to meet pretty Croatian women.
