Para-sports applications prolonged until May 1st

The applications for para-sports on the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 have been prolonged until May 1st. It provides the opportunity to all interested para-athletes to represent their universities in para-swimming and para-table tennis.

Beside numerous creative ideas, one of the most important innovations of EUG 2016 is the inclusion of sports for students with disabilities. By conducting competitions in two sports which are within the program of the Paralympics Games, the EUSA would join contemporary Olympic efforts in ensuring equal conditions and providing equal chances for all individuals who want to be involved in sports.

We are less than 2,5 months away from the biggest European multi-sport event in 2016 when students with disabilities will – for the first time – share the pitch with their colleagues.

The European Universities Games will take place from 12 to 25 July. Competitions in para-swimming will take place in Rijeka between July 22 and 25, while para-table tennis players will compete in Zagreb between July 20 and 23.
