European Universities Games are the largest multi-sport competition in Europe, and a media platform that will mark a milestone for further development of Croatian university sports.

During the european Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2015, between 1,500 and 2,000 volunteers will live a unique experience in this great cultural and multi-spors event. Volunteers will be the backbone of the organization.

News - General Technical Meeting for Badminton
The General Technical Meeting for and draw for Badminton was held for the European University Games 2016, chaired by EUSA Honorary Member, Mrs Alison Odell, accompanied by EUSA Sports Manager Patrik Peroša, EUSA Technical Delegate, Ms Isabelle Jobard, the EUSA Assistant Technical Delegate, Mr Erik Ligtvoet, the OC Technical Delegate, Mr Željko Miškulin, the OC Technical Delegate Assistant, Mrs Tatjana Zrnić, and the OC Secretary General, Mr Marko Žunić. The meeting was attended by two representatives of participating teams as well.
Mrs Odell began by giving thanks and welcoming delegations, followed by Mr Žunić echoing similar thoughts and wishing all participants a pleasant stay.
During rollcall it was noted Turkey’s Erzincan University delegation was not there but would arrive shortly. There was no appearance from the team from the Serbian University of Novi Sad, inquiries were then made regarding their whereabouts.
24 teams will be participating in competitions between the 19th and 24th of July, teams competing 19th-21st and individuals 22nd-24th. The teams were divided into 8 groups, A-H, with 3 teams per group. The draw for the individual’s competition will be held on the 21st of July at 17.00, immediately after the final for the teams. It is held later as teams have not yet put forward players for participating.

Zagreb-Rijeka, Croatia: July 12 – 25, 2016
The 3rd edition of the European Universities Games will be held in the Croatian cities Zagreb and Rijeka in July 2016. Sport featured are Badminton, Basketball, Basketball 3×3, Beach Volleyball, Bridge, Chess, Football, Futsal, Golf, Handball, Judo, Karate, Rowing, Rugby 7’s, Sport Climbing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball and Water Polo. Two of the sports – Table Tennis and Swimming – will also include competitions for students with disabilities. Apart of the sports competitions, the Games will be accompanied by the Rector’s Conference, educational side-events, cultural program and other activities.
