Gala – the official ball for EUG 2016

The best balls for the best students! European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 and Gala have signed a partnership agreement declaring Gala as the official ball for competitions in volleyball and basketball. The agreement was signed by Gala CEO Michal Preininger and Secretary General of EUG 2016 Marko Zunic.

Gala is the only European manufacturer of top quality balls for volleyball, basketball, handball and football. This company has over 60 years of experience in sports industry. As a long-standing owner of FIVB and FIBA Certificates, Gala confirms the highest quality in producing volleyball and basketball equipment. In 2014, Croatian Volleyball Federation recognized the quality of Gala’s range of volleyball products and proclaimed Gala as the official ball for the First Croatian Volleyball League and Croatian Cup.

Mr Robert Barac, the director of Comwear Zagreb – exclusive distributor for Croatia, also expressed his contentment. I am pleased that we have met our new partner EUG 2016 as the organizer of the biggest sports event in Europe in 2016, said Barac.

The basketball games will be played with balls type BB6011C Chicago and BB7011C Chicago, while the balls BV5591S Pro-line will be used for the volleyball matches – all imprinted with EUG 2016 logo. The same balls will be the official balls for UniSport Finals 2016 – a national student’s competition in 10 sports.
