News - EUSA Medical inspection visit

Ms. Abosede Ajayi, Head of Medical EUSA Committee and mr. Patrik Perosa, EUSA Sports manager visited European University Games (EUG 2016) headquarters in Rijeka on Thursday 3th of May, and Zagreb on Wednesday, 4th of May as part of Medical inspection for European University Sports Association (EUSA).

Acting as a host on behalf of EUG 2016 was mr. Haris Pavletić, newly elected vice president of EUSA together with other Organizing Committee members. Goal of this visitation was to inspect organization of medical security on EUG 2016.

The purpose of the visit was to inspect the sports and competition facilities checking the requirements and standards, giving special attention to the planned first aid and other medical services during the event.

EUSA representatives visited competition venues for many sports. In Rijeka: Handball, Swimming, Tekwando as well as Accommodation and Catering at University of Rijeka Campus.

In Zagreb EUSA representatives visited Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Karate, Tennis, Football and Rugby venues, as well as location of opening ceremonies.

In Campus Stjepan Radić ms. Ajayi and mr. Perosa had chance to examine Accommodation & catering service and check medical security aspect of this services.

The areas of hygiene and catering were also discussed in more details, also checking the food preparation, planned menus, water service and other areas related to health, food and hygiene.
