European Universities Games are the largest multi-sport competition in Europe, and a media platform that will mark a milestone for further development of Croatian university sports.

Zagreb, July 12 – First day of competition at the EUG Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 will start with the karate competition, at Volleyball Hall Bojan Stranic at 9:30.
Zagreb, July 12 – The rowing competition will start on Tuesday at 10:00 at Sports Centre Jarun.
Zagreb, July 12 – The rugby competition will start at FC Hrvatski Dragovoljac Stadium at 10:15.
Zagreb, July 12 – The chess competition will be held at the 10th Pavilion Pauk Hall at Student Dormitory Stjepan Radic at 11:00.
Zagreb, July 12 – Basketball teams will play at 4 different venues: KC Dražen Petrović, SD Pešćenica, SD Trešnjevka and SD Trnsko, starting at 13:15.

Zagreb, July 12 – The official EUG Lake Side Party VOL 1 Heart by Lido will take place by Lake Jarun.
Rijeka, July 12 – The water polo competitions will start in Rijeka at 15:45 at the Kantrida Swimming Pool Complex OB2.
Rijeka, July 12 – The Rectors’ Conference will continue in the Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta from 9:00 to 13:15. After lunch, the participants will go on a tour of the Campus of the University of Rijeka. A round table will be held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, starting at 15:00 hours. The closing of the Rectors’ Conference will begin at 17:30, and the next day, the participants of the Rectors’ Conference will travel to Zagreb to meet with the Rector of the University of Zagreb, and will take part in the EUG opening ceremony.
Rijeka, July 12 – Let’s rock this games party will start at the Mystique Club at 21:00.

Zagreb-Rijeka, Croatia: July 12 – 25, 2016
The 3rd edition of the European Universities Games will be held in the Croatian cities Zagreb and Rijeka in July 2016. Sport featured are Badminton, Basketball, Basketball 3×3, Beach Volleyball, Bridge, Chess, Football, Futsal, Golf, Handball, Judo, Karate, Rowing, Rugby 7’s, Sport Climbing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball and Water Polo. Two of the sports – Table Tennis and Swimming – will also include competitions for students with disabilities. Apart of the sports competitions, the Games will be accompanied by the Rector’s Conference, educational side-events, cultural program and other activities.
