News - Finalists of the UNIverzI-JA-DA project
Among 44 registered projects for the project UNIverzI-JA-DA, the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovation and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO), in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, City of Zagreb and European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016, selected 10 student teams with the best ideas. The finalists were presented at the press conference on November 18th 2016 held at the EUG 2016. They had the opportunity to find out other conceptual designs, as well as get information on the following stages of project preparation.
Project UNIverzI-JA-DA is awarded to the best student funding projects for the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016. The finalists will receive a cash prize of 10,000 kuna and the chance to realize their projects. Furthermore, the Secretary – General of EUG 2016, Mr Marko Zunic, confirmed the quality of received projects: “No additional cost were envisioned for the project UNIverzI-JA-DA. However, when we saw all the ideas, the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 decided to add 15,000 kuna for the winners”.
The main objective of the UNIverzI-JA-DA is to provide the opportunity for students to take on real tasks and learn about entrepreneurship and realize their innovative idea, under the support of their mentors. Students had a chance to apply via networks of student business incubators (MSPI) whose activities are focused on mentoring, education and encouraging students to enter the entrepreneurship and to develop entrepreneurial skills.
Students will fully develop their ideas by the end of 2015. In January 2016, they will publicly display their projects when the HAMAG-BICRO support will be awarded. Additional information at:

“Without Hamlet” is an award-winning play that explores what would happen to Hamlet if its protagonist took a day off. Whilst turning the world’s best-known tragedy into a comedy, the performers still pay hommage to the great work by citing its best quotes and putting the work into a modern-day context.
