European Universities Games are the largest multi-sport competition in Europe, and a media platform that will mark a milestone for further development of Croatian university sports.

During the european Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2015, between 1,500 and 2,000 volunteers will live a unique experience in this great cultural and multi-spors event. Volunteers will be the backbone of the organization.

News - EUC Taekwondo Opening Ceremony in Opatija
The Opening Ceremony of the 4th European Universities Taekwondo Championship took place in Opatija on November 11th 2016. Mr Pero Lucin – Rector of University of Rijeka, Mr Fernando Kirigin – Deputy Mayor of the city of Opatija, Mr Igor Nacinovic – Head of Department of Sports and Technical Culture in Rijeka, Mr Zrinko Custonja – President of Croatian Academic Sports Federation, Aleksandar Susnjar – President of the Student’s Council in Rijeka and Mr Marko Zunic – secretary general of EUG Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 attended the Opening Ceremony. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, participants were welcomed by Mr Haris Pavletic – president of the OC.
EUSA Executive Committee representative Mr Ceslovas Garbaliauskas welcomed all participants and wished them luck in presenting theirs skills and abilities. He also thanked the Organizing Committee for their contributions.
Organizers of this competition are Rijeka University Sports Association and Croatian Academic Sports Federation, in cooperation with City of Opatija, European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 and Student’s Council in Rijeka. The Championship will take place from 10th until 13th of November 2015 in Opatija and Rijeka.
EUSA is represented by Mr Patrik Perosa, Mr Ceslovas Garbaliauskas and the Technical Delegate Mr Fatih Catikkas. They will make sure that the event will run smoothly and without problems. The Competition will host 150 participants from 48 Universities of 16 European countries.

Zagreb-Rijeka, Croatia: July 12 – 25, 2016
The 3rd edition of the European Universities Games will be held in the Croatian cities Zagreb and Rijeka in July 2016. Sport featured are Badminton, Basketball, Basketball 3×3, Beach Volleyball, Bridge, Chess, Football, Futsal, Golf, Handball, Judo, Karate, Rowing, Rugby 7’s, Sport Climbing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball and Water Polo. Two of the sports – Table Tennis and Swimming – will also include competitions for students with disabilities. Apart of the sports competitions, the Games will be accompanied by the Rector’s Conference, educational side-events, cultural program and other activities.
