News - Hrki at “Semper Primus” Regatta

UniSport Dubrovnik organized 16th edition of the international rowing regatta “Semper primus”. The regatta was held on the October 24th at Gruž Harbour and gathererd 11 universities and 3 veteran teams.

In the men’s competition at the 1201 m race, the team from the University of Split won the gold medal with the final time 2:22:86. The Vukovar Polytechnic won the second place (2:28:24), while the University of Zagreb won the third place (2:32: 37).

Women’s competition had one team more so the University of Zagreb was the best among the six teams (3:08:42). The University of Split took a silver medal (3:11:52) and the third place went to the University of Wroclaw (3:14:24).

In the veterans competition, the team from Dubrovnik won the first place (2:53:64), the team from Zagreb took the second (2:56:86) and the team from Metković ended with the third place (2:58:34).

International Rowing Regatta “Semper Primus” was organized by the University of Dubrovnik, Student Center Dubrovnik, Croatian Academic Sports Federation, University Sports Federation of Dubrovnik, Croatian Rowing Federation, Zagreb Rowing Federation, the Rowing Association of Dalmatia and the Neptune Rowing Club. The official mascot of the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016, hamster Hrki was also there. He tried his hand in rowing for the first time and it seems like he got it!
