Belgrade EUG 2020 delegation visits the Games in Zagreb

The organizers of the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 and the representatives of the European University Sports Association met with the representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia and the University of Belgrade. The meeting, held on July 18 in Zagreb, focused on the organization of the EUG 2020, which will be held in Belgrade.

The meeting also discussed the transfer of organizational practices after the Games in Croatia end, and the transfer of experience in various fields of organizing. The Serbian delegation is currently in the early stages of preparing for the Games, and they used the opportunity to visit the Serbian athletes at the Games. The guests were satisfied with the organizational aspects of the EUG 2016, announcing their intentions to follow the standard of quality set by the Games in Zagreb and Rijeka in 2020.

Among the attendees were Haris Pavletić, on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the EUG 2016, EUSA vice president Kemal Tamer and EUSA general secretary Matjaž Pečovnik represented EUSA, while the Minister Vanja Udovčić and his assistant Uroš Zeković attended on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia. The University of Belgrade was represented by its Prorector of international cooperation Ivanka Popović.
