Rijeka water polo players use the home-field advantage

Men’s and women’s water polo competitions are taking place in Rijeka. The women’s water polo team of the University of Rijeka, who started the game against the University of Edinburgh with a shot from the five meter line, proved today that the home field is enough for a victory. At the end of the match, the Croatian water polo players won 10:4.

The first match in the men’s tournament was played as well. The players of the University of Primorska from Slovenia and the players of the University of Amsterdam fought for the dominance in the water.

The match ended up with the Slovenians winning against the Dutch players with a difference of ten goals. The final score on the scoreboard was 12:2.
