As one of the most dynamic sports in the world, table tennis is played in Croatia since 1902 and para table tennis since 1974. Today, we are proud of numerous medals won at European and World championships during years. Our young athletes play as favorites at many competitions all over the world. Due to our experience, there is no doubt that we will have great sport moments in Zagreb.
Team Tournaments:
- one (1) men’s tournament, twenty-six (26) Universities applied,
- one (1) women’s tournament, eighteen (18) Universities applied.
Each match consists of single matches only. The winner of the match will be determined by the rule ‘best of five’.
Individual Tournaments:
- one (1) men’s single tournament (MS), maximum one hundred (100) men players,
- one (1) women’s single tournament (WS), maximum one hundred (100) women players,
- one (1) men’s single Class 1-5 and Class 6-10 tournament, no restriction concerning the number of athletes with disabilities,
- one (1) women’s single Class 1-5 and Class 6-10 tournament, no restriction concerning the number of athletes with disabilities,
- one (1) men’s double tournament (MD), maximum forty (40) men’s pairs,
- one (1) women’s double tournament (WD), maximum forty (40) women’s pairs.
Teams which are taking part in team competitions may register their participants for individual competitions. Registration only to the individual competitions is allowed only to students with disabilities.
Athletes who are not internationally classified are obligated to arrive on July 18, 2016. The competitions consist of five (5) days, competitions for students with disability three (3) days. The General Technical Meeting, where the presence of each Head of the Delegation is obligatory, will be held one (1) day prior to the start of the competition in the afternoon hours.
