A country that loves & understands sport

Come as a guest, leave as a friend

Aside from the tourist offer, Croatia’s ability to be easily recognized is being boosted by successes in sports competitions. The success of Croatian athletes, such as: 3rd place at the World Soccer Championships in 1998, gold Olympic medals in handball (1996, 2004) and water polo (2012), silver medal won playing against the Dream team in Barcelona or Wimbledon win, are the best ambassadors who promote the country in the world.

The luxury of untouched, breath taking natural beauty, with more than 1,000 islands, aromas of homemade food and the best wines, infective casualness of the Mediterranean spirit, as well as people who understand and know how to enjoy in sport make Croatia a unique, versatile destination.

  1. Croatia is beautiful country which has a long sports tradition
  2. Zagreb is the only state capital that was in the biding process for EUG 2016 and Rijeka is the only city situated on the Mediterranean coast
