European Universities Games are the largest multi-sport competition in Europe, and a media platform that will mark a milestone for further development of Croatian university sports.
SponsorshipDuring the european Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2015, between 1,500 and 2,000 volunteers will live a unique experience in this great cultural and multi-spors event. Volunteers will be the backbone of the organization.

Transportation information for all participants in Zagreb both for arrival and departure are based on the following assumption:
Transportation is organised with temporary lines which are based on precisely announced requirements for arrival and announced departure
All student athletes (whose commpetition is in Zagreb) are directed to check-in upon arrival (to accreditation centre at Faculty of Kinesiology), depending in which sport they participate and on their arrival time
After acquiring accreditation participants/student EUG 2016 are directed to their place of accommodation, Student dormitory Stjepan Radić (rooms)
At the end of EUG 2016 all participants are being transported from accommodation location to departure locations (train, bus, plane – in advance scheduling needed)
General information
80 % of sport facilities are located within a radius of 10 km from Student dormitory Stjepan Radić
29 bus stops distributed on 36 sport facilities (competition + training)
33 shuttle bus lines (in different periods) and other ways of transport (passenger vans, cars etc.) + 2 adapted vans for people with disability (para-transit)
The buses will be low-floor (for transportation of people with disability) and airconditioned
Official bus carrier: Zagrebački Holding Co., Department Zagrebački električni tramvaj – ZET
Free public transportation (ZET carrier only!) for all accredited participants from 6th to 26th July 2016

After acquiring accreditation participants/student EUG 2016 are directed to their place of accommodation, Campus Rijeka (rooms)
At the end of EUG 2016 all participants are being transported from accommodation location to departure locations (train, bus, plane – in advance scheduling needed)

All students and volunteers have accommodation at the same location (student dormitory)
Transportation includes 2 different types of transport: loko and transfer transportation
Loko transportation: Transport of all participants of EUG 2016 between student dormitory / hotels to sports halls / sport venues
Shuttle lines in Rijeka with bus stations, details of bus lines and bus stations are defined
6 locations of sports facilities for the competition and training – 12 bus station (entrance and exit station)
Official carrier: RIJEKA plus/Autotrolej
Secured (free) public transportation (carriers RIJEKA plus/Autotrolej) for all accredited participants from July 10th to 26th, 2016

Zagreb-Rijeka, Croatia: July 12 – 25, 2016
The 3rd edition of the European Universities Games will be held in the Croatian cities Zagreb and Rijeka in July 2016. Sport featured are Badminton, Basketball, Basketball 3×3, Beach Volleyball, Bridge, Chess, Football, Futsal, Golf, Handball, Judo, Karate, Rowing, Rugby 7’s, Sport Climbing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball and Water Polo. Two of the sports – Table Tennis and Swimming – will also include competitions for students with disabilities. Apart of the sports competitions, the Games will be accompanied by the Rector’s Conference, educational side-events, cultural program and other activities.
