News - Rijeka: Judo and taekwondo competitions starting soon

Rijeka’s Mladost Sports Hall and Zamet Sports Centre are ready for July 23, when the judo and taekwondo competitions will start. Four tatamis have already been laid out in the Zamet Sports Centre and the Mladost Sports Hall.

Doris Marković, taekwondo delegate, said that around 200 athletes will take part in the taekwondo competition. When it comes to the technical aspect of the competition, certain adjustments had to be made. All of that will be made known after the technical meetings for both sports.

Judo and taekwondo training begins Friday, July 22, while both competitions end Monday, July 25.

Barbara Tunjko from the Sports Committee of the Games said that both halls were ready for the competitions. The only thing left to do is to wait for the participants to arrive, as well as the fans, who will hopefully fill the stands to the brim.
