Bridge: second day results

After the second day of the bridge competition at the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016, the results are following:

Pairs have been divided into ten teams who will play against each other in a round-robin system. Half of the tournament finished today, and the second round will last until Friday. The best teams will proceed to the next stage.

After today’s games Ivan Brajković, bridge player from Croatia, said it was not easy to stay focuses as they had played for nine hours, with several short breaks and one lunch break.

‘There are a few good teams. Weaker teams have already started showing sings of fatigue. We’re already halfway through the competition, fighting for medals and hoping for the best.
